If you are concerned about withdrawal, overdose, or the immediate health of you or your baby, seek medical care right away. Do not stop using certain substances suddenly without medical guidance.
Considering Adoption?
Using drugs or alcohol during pregnancy does not automatically prevent you from choosing adoption.
You do not need to be sober before contacting Alaska Adoption Services, and you do not need to be in treatment before asking about your options. Be honest with us about what is happening. We are here to listen, answer your questions, and help you make a plan without judgment.
You can explore treatment and recovery and explore adoption. Asking about one does not commit you to the other.
Contact Alaska Adoption Services to talk confidentially about your situation and what you need right now.
