Kristin and Spence
Hi there! We are Kristin and Spence Holben. We love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and have been praying for years that God would bring a child into our lives and hearts. Thank you for considering us for the honor of parenting your child.
Just a bit about us: We live in a cozy home on the Kenai Peninsula with a big yard and lots of space to play. Spence and I have been married for 5 years, and love each other dearly. We both work for Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian non-profit disaster relief organization. We have had the privilege of going into a village every summer to help build a church, and have truly enjoyed building relationships with the amazing people in each of those villages (Mekoryuk, Koyuk, and Scammon Bay). We have come to greatly respect and enjoy the native culture, such as picking berries and greens, and enjoying some deep conversations in the maqii steam bath.
Spence and I also enjoy travelling and going on adventures together. In the past few years, we have been so privileged to explore more of Alaska, climb the Grand Canyon, visit the jungles of Peru, and hike over 100 miles of the Appalachian trail together.
In addition, we adore getting together with our extended family. Whether we’re camping, hiking, singing Praise and Worship songs, playing games, or just sitting on the porch talking, we treasure spending time together. We have 10 nieces and nephews, each of whom can’t wait to meet their new cousin! One of our nephews is also adopted, and we all love him more than words can say!
We are so excited to welcome a child into our family and to show him/her without a shadow of a doubt that he/she is loved by us, and most importantly, loved by God.
