Katie and Nik are a very family-oriented couple who love spending time together with their two daughters and extended family. Their home is always full of love, laughter, and togetherness. They have two daughters—Emmy (almost 4) and Eliza (1)—and two dogs, Bo (a 12-year-old Dutch Shepherd) and Zoe (a 5-year- old Heeler/Rottweiler mix). They live in a warm, welcoming neighborhood in Chugiak, surrounded by lots of families and children.

Family means everything to them. Though Katie and Nik’s parents live in Florida and California, they are very involved and visit often. Between them, they have six sisters and nine nieces and nephews across the country, plus an incredible circle of friends in Alaska who have truly become family—many with young kids who feel like “built-in cousins.”

Katie grew up in Wisconsin and went to college in Florida. She’s a stay-at-home mom and also owns her own wedding planning business. Nik is originally from California and has been in the Air Force for 11 years. While living in Las Vegas, they met, quickly fell in love, and got married soon after. Their journey together has taken them from Nevada to North Carolina, where they welcomed their two girls, and now to Alaska—where they plan to call home for many years to come.

Katie loves hosting gatherings, making holidays magical, running, traveling, and exploring nature. Nik enjoys the outdoors—grilling, hiking, hunting, snowboarding, and skiing—and he’s always learning something new, whether it’s woodworking or a home project. Together, they love hiking, golfing, and are looking forward to lots of Alaskan fishing adventures ahead. Emmy loves imaginative play, reading, and crafts, while little Eliza is discovering the world with endless curiosity and laughter. Katie and Nik are deeply honored that you’re taking the time to learn about their family as you make such an important decision.
