Meet Jordan

Hi, I’m Jordan! I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. I work for an investment firm, a career that allows me to help people plan for their futures while continually expanding my own understanding of financial planning and investing. While I love my job, I also appreciate a healthy work-life balance. Outside of work, I enjoy things that make me feel accomplished and creative. Whether I’m refinishing furniture, redecorating a space, or giving an old thrifted treasure new life, I love the process of transforming something and making it beautiful. Staying active is also very important to me. Working out is how I show up for myself, both mentally and physically. Spending time with my people is what matters most to me, though. My mom and two brothers are in Anchorage, and I am fortunate to have that local support system, especially as my family grows by one. My dad and his wife live in Florida, but we speak almost daily and visit when possible. I also have amazing friends and neighbors who have shown up for me during life’s most challenging moments. Finding purpose in those challenging times is what brought me to where I am today in my adoption journey. Becoming a mother has felt like my purpose long before I understood what purpose meant. It has been a lifelong dream of mine since childhood.

In 2023, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and learned that having biological children would no longer be a possibility for me. After completing treatment, I took time to grieve that loss and decide how I would allow it to shape the rest of my life. Choosing adoption was not a decision I took lightly, but once I knew it was right for me, that feeling has never wavered. In my heart, adoption feels like the way I was always meant to become a mom, and it has been such a beautiful experience so far. Today, I am more than two years cancer-free, and it feels like that childhood dream is finally coming true. More than anything, I look forward to creating a home where a child feels unconditionally loved, always protected, and intentionally prepared for the world.
