Meet Amy and Jacob
In the wild beauty of Alaska, we’ve built a warm, laughter-filled home rooted in love and a spirit of adventure. We are best friends and soulmates, deeply in love and excited to share our lives with a precious child — from hiking under the Northern Lights to cozy family dinners with loved ones. Surrounded by a strong, supportive family and guided by our Christian values, we promise to raise a child with unconditional love, gentle guidance, and endless opportunities to explore and grow.
More About Us
More About Us
Residence:
We live in Anchorage, Alaska, in a three-bedroom, open-concept home on the third floor overlooking Taku Lake Park. From our windows, we enjoy a beautiful view of the western Chugach Range, with Rabbit Creek winding through the backdrop. It’s a peaceful setting where we love to read, cook together, and spend time outdoors with our dog.
Jacob’s Occupation:
Jake works in financial services as an institutional stock trader, supporting trading operations and compliance. His role requires precision, problem-solving, and dedication—skills he brings home as a steady and reliable presence in our family life.
Amy’s Occupation:
Amy works as a paraprofessional in an elementary school, supporting teachers and working closely with children each day. She loves her role and the joy it brings her to help kids learn and grow, and it’s deepened her passion for nurturing young minds.
Lifestyle:
Our lifestyle balances hard work with intentional time outdoors. We love hiking Alaska’s trails, fishing in its rivers, and exploring the natural beauty that surrounds us. At home, we enjoy cooking, reading, and quiet evenings together. Family is central to our lives, and we stay connected with Jake’s nieces and nephews scattered across the country and Amy’s niece nearby, who we see often.
Religion:
We are Christians, and our faith shapes how we live each day—with gratitude, kindness, and an emphasis on serving others. Our church community provides encouragement and fellowship, and we look forward to raising our child with the same values of love, faith, and integrity.
Children:
We do not have children yet, but we are excited to grow our family through adoption. Our nieces and nephews play a big role in our lives, and we can’t wait to extend that same love, laughter, and support to a child of our own.
Values:
We value faith, family, and integrity above all. We believe in raising children with a balance of structure and freedom, teaching them responsibility while also encouraging curiosity and joy. Respect for others, gratitude for life’s blessings, and the courage to embrace adventure are the principles that guide our home.
Pets:
We share our home with Cabo, our affectionate Alaskan Husky. She is gentle, playful, and loves to be part of everything we do—from hikes to relaxing at home. She’s wonderful with people and brings a lot of joy and companionship to our daily life.
